Experiential Immersion
Faculty Professional Development in International Business Thailand

The Experiential Immersion Program was thoughtfully designed for faculty members seeking a deeper understanding of the complexities, opportunities, and cultural dynamics of operating in a rapidly evolving, high-growth market such as Thailand.
The program was co-designed by Deepak Ohri, CEO and Founder of Luxury Atelier Maison Happiness (LAMH) and Executive in Residence in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center, together with Anna Pietraszek, Director of the Pino Global Entrepreneurship Center at Florida International University. Bringing together their complementary expertise and perspectives, the initiative created a distinctive bridge between entrepreneurship, innovation, business, culture, and experiential learning.
At the heart of the program was an immersive introduction to Thailand, one that extended well beyond conventional approaches to understanding a market. Participants experienced the country through its business environment, hospitality, cuisine, traditions, spirituality, and distinctive cultural values.
The journey encompassed a carefully curated spectrum of experiences, from Michelin-starred dining to the spiritual setting of Bangkok’s historic Wat Pho Temple. A particularly meaningful moment was a private audience with a Buddhist monk, who shared insights into Buddhism, Thai spirituality, and the values that shape everyday life in Thailand. The encounter offered participants a deeper perspective on the resilience, graciousness, and enduring warmth embodied in the renowned Thai smile, even in times of challenge.
Together, these experiences provided faculty with a richer understanding of Thailand not simply as a high-growth market, but as a complex cultural and entrepreneurial ecosystem in which relationships, traditions, values, and human connection are inseparable from the way business is conducted.
